About
At the Congregation, in Detroit.

I am a lover of nature, endlessly curious; half intellectual and half adventurer.

I am a recovering academic*, but I still do research for a living. Give me a rabbit hole, and I'll jump right in. In my spare time I play the piano, ride the waves in my kayak, write poetry and fiction, and learn photography.

  • I hold a PhD in Communication Science, with a Minor in Psychology (Wayne State University, 2019) + a Master’s in Japanese (Ca’ Foscari, Venice, ITA, 2004) + a Master's in Journalism (University of Turin, ITA, 2006)
  • I even published a book… Pretty niche, though. “Marzio Nardi is Dead. Libero tra le pietre.”
  • I am an ACA L3 Kayaking Instructor (kayaking is the new climbing!)
